THE STORY OF BEAUTY
The daisy is a small and lovely flower that opens its white petals at the end of a slender stem, revealing a yellow center.
Growing naturally in fields and grasslands, it possesses a simple and familiar beauty that is different from the more showy presence of ornamental garden flowers.
The English name “daisy” is believed to derive from the Old English expression “day’s eye.”
Because the flower opens in the morning and closes at night, it was thought to resemble an eye opening with the light of the sun, giving rise to its name.
In Europe, the daisy has long been cherished as a familiar wildflower and has appeared in literature and paintings throughout the centuries.
Its small blossoms have come to carry many meanings, including the arrival of spring, youth, innocence, and pure love.
Daisies have also been used in the tradition of flower divination, in which petals are picked one by one while asking, “He loves me, he loves me not.” Through this simple ritual, the unpretentious flower has also become cherished as a symbol of the heart in love.
There is something natural and gentle in the appearance of the daisy.
It lives quietly in its own way beneath the sun.
In its presence lies the beauty of simply being as one is, without needing to add anything more.

BEAUTY OF HAPPINESS
We sometimes believe that we need to add something to ourselves in order to become beautiful.
Yet the daisy, in its small and simple form, teaches us another kind of beauty.
The beauty of simply being as we are.
That the very fact that you exist as yourself is precious and beautiful.
The daisy gently whispers to us of something important that we so often forget in the busyness of everyday life.
